Volunteer Opportunity: Write About “Internet-in-a-Box”

We're on the lookout for a volunteer wordsmith to craft an inspiring article for Glia.org’s News and Events section, highlighting our exciting collaboration to 3D-print “Internet-in-a-Box.”

Background Internet-in-a-Box aims to provide offline access to valuable educational content—such as Wikipedia articles, Khan Academy videos, medical textbooks, and offline maps—particularly in regions where internet connectivity is limited or nonexistent, such as Latin America. Together, let’s spotlight how 3D-printing Internet-in-a-Box can revolutionize access to knowledge and create lasting change in underserved communities globally.

Your Role:

  • Interviewing key team members and community partners to gather insights, quotes, and technical details necessary to convey the problem, the solution, and the impact.
  • Reviewing our Content Creation Guide for direction on writing style.

This is a fantastic opportunity for writers who are passionate about championing open-source solutions, and empowering communities through accessible technology.
